Ross The Boss, Mantas and Steve Bettney on the new CRYSTAL VIPER album

6. October 2016

CRYSTAL VIPER are back! The Polish Heavy Metallers are returning after a 4 year absence, which was caused by the health issues relating to the band’s front woman and founder, Marta Gabriel. The comeback album entitled „Queen Of The Witches“, is probably a perfect Heavy Metal release, as except being a concept effort about the witches and true evil, includes all the elements that fans of the genre are looking for.

Great melodies, impressive vocal lines, classic sounding riffs and harmonies, catchy refrains and pounding drums. Headbanging hymns, speed metal monsters, and power ballads.

All of this with a powerful and very classic sound production by Bart Gabriel (CIRITH UNGOL, SACRED STEEL, MYTHRA), that refers to the iconic and best Heavy Metal albums ever made, and coupled with an amazing cover artwork painted by Andreas Marschall (RUNNING WILD, BLIND GUARDIAN, KREATOR).

As it’s already a tradition that CRYSTAL VIPER pays a tribute to the classic ’80s Metal acts of which legacy they proudly continue, it couldn’t be different this time, and the band invited several special guests to take part in the recordings.

The MANOWAR co-founder and guitar hero Ross The Boss, and no less legendary Jeff Dunn (aka Mantas) of VENOM / VENOM INC., will appear with guitar solos in two of the songs. Except that, in one of the songs we will hear a duet of Marta Gabriel and Steve Bettney, vocalist of the NWoBHM cult heroes SARACEN.

„Queen Of The Witches“ will hit the streets on February 17, 2017, and will be available as CD, limited edition LP and digital download. The limited edition gatefold LP (500 copies only) can already be pre-ordered on this location:

THE ANSWER – Release Music Video For Track “Solas”!

6. October 2016

THE ANSWER have revealed ‘Solas’, the anthemic new single and title track from the band’s eagerly anticipated forthcoming album which will be released via Napalm Records on October 28th.

Watch the music video HERE:

Solas’ is the first official single from the new album and has already gone straight on to the Planet Rock A-List. It follows the previously released track ‘Beautiful World’, which is bathed in a dark, cinematic eeriness and was co-written with former Massive Attack producer / composer, Neil Davidge.

Both ‘Solas’ and ‘Beautiful World’ will be available as instant grat downloads with pre-orders of the album via digital stores!

A decade into the band’s career, Solas marks a significant turning point for The Answer as they turned inwards to their culture, musical heritage and deep-rooted sense of ‘Irishness’. The album is a hugely varied body of work encompassing elements of their Celtic background as well as their renowned trademark guitar attack.

Opening with the dark hypnotic drum beat of the title track ‘Solas’, a brooding rock anthem that builds to a climactic release with an explosive and almost operatic choral finale, the album showcases the band’s love of Irish harmony; the combination of mandolins and Celtic choral arrangements suspend time on the harmonious ‘Thief Of Light’ while ‘In This Land’ summons an epic resolve and demonstrates an atmospheric turning point in the band’s sound.

Not turning their back on their blues-filled rock anthems, ‘Demon Driven Man’ is perfect rock’n’roll fare, but it is the epic ‘Battle Cry (Seo An La Mo Laoch Mo Ghra)’, a six-minute call to arms featuring elements of Celtic music, a Gaelic vocal chant, windswept rock and even thunderous Samba rhythms, which best epitomises the old and new of The Answer.

Having gone back to their roots and rediscovered their inner selves Solas is an honest and brave album that panders to no label, to no media framework and to no rules. It is a record that bears the scars and soul of four talented men from Northern Ireland; sometimes troubled but seeking creative liberation.

TROLLFEST – to release new album „Helluva“ on February 24th, 2017!

5. October 2016

Norwegian Balkan metallers TROLLFEST pleased to announce the release of a new album on February 24th, 2017 via NoiseArt Records.

The seventh studio is entitled “Helluva” and it promises to be a helluva album.
The Trolls once more bring their mix of extreme metal and balkan influences to a new level with an added Brass section, combined with more Kaos!

„Out of Kaos, into more Kaos!

We have been holding this close to our hearts for some time now, but finally, oh finally, the sweet release is upon us! Our new album is here! To our joy and satisfaction, it will be released February 24th, 2017! We call this beautiful baby HELLUVA, and she is the result of many long months of demoing, arranging, recording, re-recording, cutting, compressing, computing and confusing, laughing and loathing, singing and screaming, spitting and sneering.

The pride we have for this album is unfathomable, and we are so happy to finally share it with all our lovable fans!

Like the perfect omelette, we also busted quite a few eggs (braincells and bloodvessels) during this conception. So even though we still produce a helluva mess in the kitchen, the meals we make are always tasty to the EXTREME! So here we stand at the brink of the coming release, shivering with anticipation, ravenous for road rage and trembling with tenacity! HELLUVA comes with a 100% „Knock-your-socks-off guarantee“, that is a promise! LET’S GO!!!“

Check out the first „Helluva“trailer here:

TROLLFEST have been proving that they are able to hold their liqueur for over 12 years. “Helluva” is helluva party, animated by exceptionally gifted people, and it is not only a lot of fun, but it lives up to the highest musical standards.

The vocals that are sung in the band’s own “Trollspråk” (“Troll’s Language”) are as diverse as TROLLFEST’s instrumental madness, and it is just as skillful – elating, catchy, and perfect to babble along even after two, three, or 20 drinks.

Bottoms up, the TROLLFEST is coming nearer, and it demands a high-percentage sacrifice!

More information coming soon. Stay tuned!

SIRENIA – Music Video Premiere For First Lyric-Video!

4. October 2016

Mastermind Morten Veland has just one thing in mind for SIRENIA in 2016: pure and utter melancholy. Almost two years after The Seventh Life Path the Norwegian is ready to unleash his latest and most diverse dark vision of gothic and symphonic metal that shuns the light and stays enshrouded in the ‘Veil of winter‘:

Dim Days Of Dolor also marks the first Sirenia release featuring Emmanuelle Zoldan on lead vocals – a trained opera singer who has been with Sirenia as a choir singer for over a decade!

This is going to be epic! Convince yourself with the first lyric-video premiere for the track “The 12th Hour”

Mastermind Morten Veland on their brand new lyric-video:

„We are very proud to present the first song from our new album. We are very excited about this album, it feels like we really have been able to achieve what we set out to achieve with this one. The production and sound have never been better, and the vocals are in a different league.

We feel that every song on the album have it’s own unique expression and personality. So you really haven’t heard Dim Days of Dolor until you checked out every song on the album. But ‚The 12th Hour‘ for sure will give an impression of Sirenia’s new sound.

The album is also full of nice details that you will discover one by one the more you listen to it. Personally I love listening to this album with a high quality headset, it gives a great listening experience. Also works great to play on a huge stereo and crank up the volume, just to really feel the great power of the mix.

My favourite Sirenia album without doubt. Might sound like a cliché saying that, but this is the first time I ever say it, and I have some albums under my belt at this point“.

Dim Days Of Dolor will be released on November 11th via Napalm Records. Pre-Orders are already up and ready HERE.
