Lacrimas Profundere Announce New Album Lay Me Down O Silent Fear
20.8.2026

German gothic metal veterans Lacrimas Profundere will release their new studio album, Lay Me Down O Silent Fear, on September 25, 2026 via Steamhammer/SPV. Four years after their last full-length, the band have played more than 100 shows, including a European support run for Paradise Lost in autumn 2025, and are now 33 years into their career with festival and club dates in 40 countries behind them.
The album pushes the band’s gothic/metalcore blend even harder, into a style they’ve dubbed „Gothcore.“ Guitarist and founder Oliver Nikolas Schmid jokingly compares opener „Days Of Doom“ to Bring Me The Horizon covering „Bohemian Rhapsody,“ saying of the result, „we don’t know, but at least we tried.“
It was recorded at Kohlekeller Studio with Kai Stahlenberg (who also mixed it), produced by Oliver Nikolas himself, and mastered by Finnish producer Rami Nykänen (Bloodred Hourglass, Crownshift). Vocalist Julian Larre tracked vocals in his native Finland, keyboardist Benny Richter (Caliban, Emil Bulls) again supplies the atmosphere, and Indonesian artist Bahrull Marta returns for the cover art.
The album arrives as a CD digipak, a white/black splatter vinyl LP, and a limited 500-copy box set with a printed beanie and necklace. Three singles precede it: title track „O Silent Fear“ (July 31, 2026), „Nevermore“ (August 21, 2026), and „Faceless“ (September 18, 2026), the last with a video shot in a closed-off sand quarry as a tribute to Arch Enemy’s „The Eagle Flies Alone“ and Sepultura’s „Territory.“
Tracklist:
- Days Of Doom
- Nevermore
- Heart I Will Break Before You Break Me
- O Silent Fear
- Agony (In Dread And Dust)

Eivør Previews New Album Tungl With Single Verjugarðar / Walls
19.8.2026
Faroese artist Eivør has shared a new single, „Verjugarðar / Walls,“ taken from her upcoming studio album Tungl, out October 16, 2026. The dark, electronic-rock ballad centers on two people who have lost what once bound them together behind walls of silence, with Eivør noting the paradox that the walls we build for protection can also be what keeps us apart.
Tungl spans ten tracks and will arrive across several formats, including CD, digipack, and multiple vinyl variants.
Eivør spent the summer touring festivals such as Paléo Festival, Brutal Assault and Summer Breeze, and will play two more European festival dates before three release-week shows in October: two nights at Nordic House in Tórshavn (16–17 October) and one at Harpa’s Eldborg Hall in Reykjavík (23 October) with special guest musicians. An extensive North American tour follows later this year, with European and UK dates running into 2027.

Colosalist Announce Limited Vinyl Edition Of Two Suns
18.8.2026
Czech pagan metal act Colosalist will release a vinyl edition of their debut album, Two Suns, on August 29, 2026, through Pařát Productions. Pre-orders open August 10 at paratshop.cz, limited to 250 copies.
Colosalist is led by Petr Staněk (also known as Petter Stanek), who has lived in Norway for many years and fronted Silent Stream Of Godless Elegy from 1995 to 2001, recording three albums considered landmarks of Czech doom/death metal. Colosalist marks a return to the gothic- and doom-inspired sound of Staněk’s 1990s work on the albums Iron, Behind The Shadows and Themes, carrying that spirit forward with the benefit of years of additional experience.
Staněk started Colosalist as a studio project in 2013, releasing the four-track digipak Pass Into Oblivion in 2014. The project later grew into a full live band featuring three former members of Silent Stream Of Godless Elegy, and released its debut full-length, Two Suns, on CD via its own label, Hoggorm Music, in September 2025.
The new vinyl pressing is a black 12″ LP (140g) with full-color labels, a printed inner sleeve and a lyric insert, packaged to the same collector standard as other Pařát Productions releases. It carries catalogue number PP145 and includes all nine tracks from the CD, resequenced across two sides. Mastering for the vinyl edition was done at Southock Recording. A limited commemorative T-shirt is also available alongside the LP.
Tracklist: Side A: From The Others / Visdomer / Creeping Frost / Dabrakar / Witnesses From Shadows Side B: Die Inside Me / Soul Of Birds / No Angels At Home / Over The Sky
The full album is streaming on YouTube.
