Judas Priest Sad Wings of Destiny Gets 50th Anniversary Archival Edition
Exciter Records has released a restored 50th anniversary edition of Judas Priest’s Sad Wings of Destiny, sourced from the original 1976 analogue stereo master tapes. The restoration work took place at British Grove Studios in London, supervised by Tom Allom and Luie Stylianou.
Grammy-winning engineer Matt Colton then mastered the audio at Metropolis Studios in London. This edition also restores the band’s original intended running order, opening with ‚Prelude‘. Exciter Records plans additional archival releases as part of a broader 50th anniversary campaign for the album.

TrollfesT Announce Tenth Studio Album Trollywood
Norwegian Balkan metal band TrollfesT will release their tenth studio album, Trollywood, on November 6th, 2026, through Reaper Entertainment. The record contains eleven tracks and aims for a heavier, more aggressive sound than previous work. The first single, Day Drinking, arrives on August 7th, 2026.
A limited 7-inch yellow vinyl edition of the single includes an exclusive B-side titled Fire Fine Firfisler, with only 100 copies pressed worldwide.

Serious Black Announce New Album Keeper Of The Light
Serious Black will release their new studio album, Keeper Of The Light, on January 29, 2027, through Perception, a division of Reigning Phoenix Music.
The album contains eleven tracks and was produced by Mario Lochert and Bob Katsionis. The band released the first single, Last Man Standing, alongside an official music video.
The song deals with self-belief and staying on your own path despite opposition. Vocalist Nikola Mijic and his expressive voice play a central role in the album’s sound, according to Lochert.

Eivør Announces New Album Tungl and Single Drekafljóð
Faroese artist Eivør will release her new studio album, Tungl, on October 16, 2026. Tungl is the Faroese word for moon, and the album contains ten tracks. She released the new single Drekafljóð, also known as Dragon Maiden, alongside a video filmed in Svínadalur, Iceland. Eivør produced and recorded the single with Tróndur Bogason and her band. Poet Marjun S. Kjelnæs co-wrote the lyrics with Eivør.
