Gloryhammer Release Die with a Sword in My Hand from Album Space 1993
Power metal band Gloryhammer released the single „Die with a Sword in My Hand“ together with an animated video. The track is the second preview of their fifth album, Space 1993: Wrath of Kor-Virliath, out October 16, 2026 via Napalm Records.
The album is a direct sequel to 2015’s Space 1992: Rise of the Chaos Wizards and follows Crown Prince Angus McFife
V across eleven tracks. The band produced the record themselves and Jacob Hansen, known for his work with Volbeat and Amaranthe, mixed it. The closing track runs nearly thirteen minutes across four chapters.
The Hootsman summed the track up: he does not always die, but when he does, „it’s with a sword in my hand.“

Green Lung Share Black Magick Radio from New Album Necropolitan
London band Green Lung released a new single, ‚Black Magick Radio‘, taken from their album Necropolitan, due September 11, 2026. The song traces the history of occult rock and namechecks bands such as Lucifer’s Friend and Black Widow. It also nods to London landmarks: the Soho cafe Le Macabre and the Mayfair cult The Process Church of the Final Judgement.
The band call the track „Our love letter to occult rock itself“. Billy Howard Price directed the video, where the song’s occult power leaves a model suburban family helpless.
Necropolitan contains nine tracks and celebrates the occult lore and heavy music scene of London. During release week the band will sign vinyl and CDs at selected record stores, with details on greenlung.co.uk.

Forgotten Shrine Unveil The Parting Glass (Reforged) with Ember Belladonna
American folk metal duo Forgotten Shrine released „The Parting Glass (Reforged)“, a reworked version of their cover of the Scottish traditional song. Flutist Ember Belladonna guests on the track. The track comes from Nox Aeterna, which the duo will release independently on November 6, 2026.
The new version adds a fresh instrumental arrangement and vocals by Josh Alexander. Sofia Frasz says the instrumental has more space to breathe than the original single from two years ago. The band timed the release to the August 9 launch of Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced.
Joshua Dalviken produced, mixed and mastered the eleven-track album. Josh Alexander and Dalviken created the album artwork, and Josh Alexander designed the single cover with Tricia Alexander.
